The Cape Verde men’s handball coach has already released the list of 20 called up for the first preparation stage in Kuwait, for the 2025 Handball World Cup, to be held in Croatia, Denmark and Norway.
According to the Cape Verdean Handball Federation, those called up will go to Kuwait to participate in an international tournament from the 4th to the 6th of November, also involving the combined host and the national teams of Bahrain and Iran.
According to the schedule, the Cape Verdean national team, led by coach Jorge Rito, arrives in Kuwait on November 4th, begins training the following day, and begins competing on the 6th of the same month against the hosts at Sheikh Saad Al -Abdulah Indoor Sport.
On November 7th, Cape Verde faces the Bahrain national team and ends its stay in this Arab country in the Persian Gulf on November 9th, against Iran.
This tournament will be used for the national technical team to test new players.
Until the World Cup, Cape Verde has scheduled two more internships, first in December this year and later in January 2025.
The men’s senior handball World Cup will be played from January 14th to February 2nd, 2025, simultaneously in Norway, Croatia and Denmark.
