Claudio Castagnoli has been revealed as Jon Moxley’s “emissary” to face Shota Umino at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5th.
Earlier on Sunday, during a NJPW World Tag League show at Korakuen Hall, a video aired. Castagnoli appeared on screen and said:
Shota, what happened? I thought, in Japan, you respect your elders, you don’t go around questioning them. See, in my book, you were the first Death Rider.
Jon took you under his wing. Even though you come out like a rhinestone cowboy, all glittery and stuff, you still carry his Death Rider jacket. So how dare you question him?
Did you forget all the lessons? Lesson one: the basics. Lesson two? Well, how about I’ll teach it to you personally, January 5th, Wrestle Dynasty. Class will be in session.

Moxley had promised to send an emissary to face Shota Umino at Wrestle Dynasty in a video that aired at NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed.
This came after Umino had questioned his former mentor’s current methods.
