Chernobylite will take players to the wasteland of Chernobyl’s Exclusion Zone where they play as physicist and former power plant employee Igor, as he returns to the abandoned city of Pripyat to investigate the mysterious disappearance of his fiance 30 years before. As players explore the wasteland, they will need to avoid the hostile military forces, mutated creatures and other scavengers that inhabit the zone.
Players will be able to construct a base where they can store resources, create and use workstations to craft gadgets, traps and weapons. Players will have the ability to recruit companions and send them out on a variety of different missions, such as gather resources, eliminate threats etc.
Chernobylite will release as two different versions – The Chernobylite Complete Edition will feature the full game and all content updates such as the new missions, additional weapons, unique game modes and more. The Chernobylite Premium Edition will include everything in the Complete Edition with the addition of digital downloads of the official Chernobylite Soundtrack and Artbook along with two cosmetic weapons and hideout DLCs – The Seasoned Scavenger and Irradiated Hideout.
