A sophisticated style with color

It is another purpose when using color to decorate: to achieve sophisticated spaces. These clients, residents of Miami, were not afraid of using color. “On the contrary!” -declare those responsible for the project-. “They wanted a vibrant and sophisticated style. Therefore, we had fun incorporating ranges of blues with touches of magenta. The use of colors and textures turn the apartment into a jewel of color above the crystalline water of Miami,” highlight the interior designers from FL Interiors Design Studio. They have created a relaxing atmosphere in serene tones and, based on it, they have not hesitated to incorporate elements of color with blue as the protagonist in different shades and with touches of a vibrant magenta that provides vitality and light.

Color details also add

You may not know how to incorporate those color notes to achieve a living room that goes beyond the norm. And it’s easier than you imagine! It is true that the larger the piece, the more marked the effect. For example, a color upholstered sofa it always becomes a turning point in space. But they also add small details in auxiliary pieces such as tables, lamps and, of course, cushions and vases. In this project by Rocío Esquilas with styling by Pilar Perea, the wall is a neutral base and the wooden floor is another timeless element. Here matches the color with a “splashed” effect when appearing in small elements but with bold shades.

Give light in a space with dark notes

He use of color in the living room It also serves to illuminate a dimly lit space.. It may be that due to a lack of natural light or because there are dark elements – as happens in this Luzio Studio project with a living room upholstered in dark gray – it may be necessary to use the most vibrant color so that the perception of the environment changes. Here the plain pink rug lightens the floor and contrasts with the finish of the sofa. Added are the stools or side tables and the pictorial works that finish raising the level.

Not only wallpaper is an asset to decorate with color, setting the style. Painting also has great power to set the trend of the space. The upholstery adds up. Pure visual joy! A vibrantly colored rug, plain or with geometric designs, floral prints or abstract patterns. Look for contrast with the furniture and walls. It will also be very personal. Energetic and welcoming

He balance when using color is to achieve an atmosphere vibrant, vitamin but cozy. When warm colors are used it is easier to achieve this result. But it is also interesting to use some warm colors to subtract the coldness of cold colors, when they predominate in the environment. In this case, the mustard yellow upholstered armchairs are a source of warmth in a living room where black is felt but also the soft blue of the sofa and sideboard. Above this, a striking green painting. It is a proposal from the furniture brand Cassina, with a Moncloud sofa by Patricia Urquiola.
