Boy Goes the Extra Mile to Play With His Sisters: ‘Go Get My Wand’

A 2-year-old from Tennessee has gone viral for trying to get involved with his sisters’ play time.

In the TikTok video, Crosby Pinkard was determined to join his older sisters’ mermaid adventures and asked if he could come into the “ocean.” He was denied access by Harvey and Palmer, so he sprinted off to find a solution.

Mom Mary Grace Pinkard, 34, who watched the whole thing play out, told Newsweek that Crosby, as always, desperately wanted to be included in his sisters’ game of mermaids.

“He rummaged through their dress-up box and put on the Anna [from Disney‘s Frozen] costume, complete with rainboots, gloves and a winter hat. The girls told him he couldn’t enter the “ocean” because he didn’t have mermaid powers, so he ran off to get his wand to solve the problem. It cracked me up,” she said.

Pinkard said that, while her children often play well together and love engaging in imaginative games, there are moments when the girls ask for some time alone. “We also have the normal ‘no boys allowed’ situations when the girls insist on alone time to play Barbies or American Girls without little bro messing them up,” she added.

After she stopped filming, Pinkard encouraged her daughters to let Crosby play, reminding them how cute it was that their little brother wanted to be just like them. “I said something like, ‘He wants to be just like you guys! Please let him play.'”

The viral clip melted hearts all over the internet, with over 15.1 million views and more than 2.8 million likes from other TikTok users.

One viewer requested “more episodes please” and referred to the video as a TV, while another called the scene “iconic.”

A third posted: “Do you see how she played the harmonica right on cue? Defining the script? Very mindful, very demure.”

Pinkard said she understood both sides to Crosby wanting to play with the girls, and his sisters requiring some time on their own. “I think there just has to be a balance,” she added. “I want them to include each other but do understand that the big girls want to play alone sometimes. We all need our alone time!”

Moments later, the sisters returned with a solution of their own—they found an Ariel costume for Crosby to wear, which he proudly showed off. The video ended with all three siblings playing together in their imaginative “ocean.”
