Faced with the stumble of former vice-leader Palmeiras, who focuses his attention on the Libertadores, General Severiano’s black and white team can take another important step in the race for the title.
After spending the entire month of September without winning, Botafogo appears with 51 points at the top of the Brasileirão. Victorious in the direct clash against Palmeiras’ reserves, Red Bull Bragantino reached 45 points, putting pressure on Glorioso.
For the duel, Botafogo will not be able to count on Marçal, who is suspended after being sent off against Corinthians in the last round. With this, Hugo will be the immediate replacement.
