This is the appointment of the new “director of the Cabinet of the director of the Cabinet of the Presidency of the Government”. The position falls to Ana Ruipérez Núñez, political scientist and researcher of historical memory and Franco’s street maps.
The appointment, approved by the Council of Ministers at its meeting of September 24thhas an effective date the following day, Wednesday, September 25.
This is not the first time that a Spanish Government has appointed this position. In fact, It’s the fourth time it’s happened. in democracy.
The first and second times took place in 2005 and 2008, when the vice president of the Government was the socialist María Teresa Fernández de la Vega.
The third time it happened was in 2012, when the appointment was signed by Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría (PP)as Vice President of the Government and Minister of the Presidency.
