Eintracht star Hasebe as a voice for freedom, democracy and debate

The likeness of Eintracht Frankfurt legend Makoto Hasebe can be seen as a large-scale poster on over 3,750 digital advertising spaces throughout Germany. It was unveiled on Friday in front of Frankfurt’s Paulskirche on the occasion of week of freedom of speech.

“With his opinion and his poster, Hasebe represents four other personalities from society, media and literature who, with their commitment and opinions, promote a lively culture of debate,” said the supporters of the campaign, which also includes the German Book Trade Association .

The alliance of more than 70 partners and 80 events comes together for Freedom of Expression Week, which takes place nationwide from May 3rd, International Press Freedom Day, to May 10th, the anniversary of the book burning.
