He Barcelona City Council has announced the remodeling of Pepe Rubianes street in the Ciutat Vella district. Thus, the reform of the street is opened to public competition, which It is being tendered now to be able to advance the processing in these coming months. The tender, which is published on Thursday, includes the drafting of the preliminary project, the executive project and the construction management of the project for the reform of this road, and foresees a maximum tender price of 275,864 euros.
According to the City Council, the work will work on an area of ​​6,700 m² to improve accessibilitymobility, lighting, living and green spaces and intersections with perpendicular streets. The City Council foresees that Work will begin in the second quarter of 2026.
The action to remodel the Pepe Rubianes promenade is part of the municipal government’s action to improve the Barceloneta neighborhood with a package of municipal actions and a committed investment of 31 million during the mandate to reinforce the maintenance of public space, renew urban furniture, improve public facilities and the public housing stock to the neighborhood.
