Bandido saves Matt Cardona from post-match attack at ROH Final Battle

Cardona saved by Bandido.

One of the billed double main events for ROH Final Battle was Chris Jericho defending the ROH World Championship against Matt Cardona.

Jericho entered to the song ‘New York, New York’ by Frank Sinatra. He also sported an I heart New York shirt. 

As the bout was ongoing, the referee had his back turned and Big Bill entered the picture to boot Cardona in the face. Jericho went on to retain the title after Bryan Keith hit Cardona with the belt.

Post-match, Bill and Keith jumped Cardona, but making the save was the returning Bandido. The 29-year-old Bandido last wrestled on a June 2023 edition of AEW Rampage. 

He underwent surgery for a wrist injury but at the end of 2023, he was facing another surgery due to complications with his wrist.
