The presenter and actor Àngel Llàcer was on the brink of death a few months ago, when a bacteria lodged in his leg after a trip to Vietnamand because of which he was about to lose his leg and even his life.
In his first public appearance after the operations he had to undergo, in the program Col·lapse, from TV3, said through tears that “I was determined to die. I was happy and happy to have done many things.“They told me that either I would come out without a leg or I wouldn’t come out,” he added, while showing the scars left by the operations, since the bacteria killed 30% of one of his twins.
Now, after a few weeks of recovery, it has been known, as anticipated The Newspaperthat the presenter will be in front of the cameras again in a contest what will be called Soc i Seré (I am and I will be), on Catalan public television.
In the casting phase and with no broadcast date yet, it will be a reality-type format in which 100 people will live together for 10 days while they face physical tests, knowledge of the Catalan language, geography, gastronomy, popular culture and music.
Llàcer, who had to move around in a wheelchair and later on crutches, to learn to walk again shortly after, thus takes another step in his recovery and return to normal life, although with limitations after what happened. “I have had to learn to walk again. I walk slowly, I can’t jump or climb stairs,” he himself said.
