The festival wanted to present the event as a tribute to the memory of Hutchins in which they will also talk about security measures during filming and the handling of firearms. The Ukrainian cinematographer had a promising career ahead of her, which was ruined by the accident that caused her death in October 2021. A few days later, the same festival that she held in high esteem held a minute of silence in her memory.
Alec Baldwin, also a producer on the film, was accused of involuntary manslaughter being the one who handled the gun that was loaded with live ammunition.
