Agony was on the verge of Eurovision in 2023. The Canarian artist, one of the public’s great favorites, obtained second position in the Benidorm Fest with its theme I want to burn, just behind Blanca Paloma who was finally in charge of representing Spain in the song contest. A result that was a relief for the singer, since he did not want to be in the contest.

They told me that I had to show up or they wouldn’t release the album, so I felt completely coerced. “I’m not talking about a record company, I’m talking about a specific person who no longer belongs to any record company that I know of.”

I only had a couple of songs done. Why do I have to do things that I’m not in the moment for right now? Maybe I could have done it in the future much better and with all the desire in the world.”

Until two weeks before, he was calling and saying he didn’t want to do it.”

Will Agoney perform at Eurovision again?
During his time at Operation Triumph 2017, talent show in which he rose to fame, Agoney repeatedly expressed that he liked the Eurovision format and that it would be a dream for him to be able to go.
