TV SERIES – Tam, Alex and Sylia are back, and not just on TF1. While the series Cat’s Eyes adapted from the famous manga which has been a hit on screen for two weeks on TF1, Disney+ announced this Thursday, November 21, that a remake of the 1980s cartoon was in production at Japan.
Coffee, high heels and tight-fitting jumpsuits… The teaser images revealed by the streaming platform promise an adaptation in line with the work of Tsukasa Hōjō, whose involvement in this project is unknown.
According to the words that accompany this short excerpt, Japanese singer Ado was chosen to replace the voice of her predecessor Ari in the credits, whose work she says she respected while incorporating into her 1980s style ” your own colors “. In France, it was Isabelle Guiard at the time.
For the moment we do not know the release date, nor even more details on the plot of this new version, which should still continue the initial thread. The original cartoon told the story of three sisters running a café by day, who at nightfall put on their thieving outfits to steal works of art from the hands of criminals.
Its “live action” adaptation by TF1 with actresses Camille Lou, Constance Labbé and Claire Romain was a hit on the channel, despite a mixed critical reception, to say the least. The first two episodes attracted 4.56 million viewers when they were broadcast on Monday evening, November 11. Less followed, episodes 3 and 4 still attracted more than 3.87 million curious people this week.
