AEW Collision achieved its largest viewership since September while airing against the UFC 309 preliminary fights and college football.
The November 16 episode – taped in Albany, New York – averaged 356,000 viewers and 154,000 (0.11) in the 18-49 demographic and ranked fourth among cable programs in prime-time, per Wrestlenomics.
The show was headlined by a No DQ match for the AEW Women’s Championship between Mariah May and Anna Jay and the premiere of its “November Rain” video promoting Full Gear.
The site reports that Collision ranked behind the UFC 309 prelims on FX (816,000 viewers and 0.36 in 18-49), Arizona State vs. Kansas State on ESPN (849,000 and 0.22), and a Hallmark movie (1,730,000 and 0.13). The UFC prelims were simulcast on ESPNews but there was no date for that broadcast.
The show’s viewership increased 7% this week while the 18-49 audience grew by 14%, representing Collision’s highest since September 28 for the Grand Slam edition.
In the 18-49 demo, males grew by 12% to 107,000 viewers and females increased by 21% to 47,000 viewers.
The 18-34 demographic did not reflect the other categories as the demo experienced a 46% decrease from last week and averaged 26,000 viewers with its lowest amount since the October 5 airing against WWE Bad Blood.
Males in the 18-34 demo greatly decreased from 36,000 to 12,000 viewers.
However, adults 35-49 compensated by averaging 128,000 viewers increasing by 47% from last week and would be its largest audience in that demo since June 15.
Collision will be pre-empted this Saturday due to AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view and returns on November 30 with a three-hour block of Collision & Rampage airing from 4-7 p.m. ET.
