SEXUAL VIOLENCE – The trial of rapes of Mazan soon on our screens. The daughter of the Pelicot couple, Caroline Darianis currently participating in a documentary on the subject, and on that of chemical submission, the filming of which is in progress, indicated Thursday, November 28 France Televisionsconfirming information from the American magazine Variety.
The broadcast of the documentary, titled Chemical submission, let shame change fieldis scheduled in the coming months by the public group. Produced by CAPA, it is directed by Linda Bendali. Other victims of chemical submission than Gisèle Pelicot testify there. Caroline Darian says she herself is convinced of having been drugged and raped by her father Dominique, like her mother Gisèle.
Heard from the first week of the Mazan rape trial, which began on September 2, Caroline Darian (her pen name under which she published a book in April, And I stopped calling you dad, Editor’s note), 45 years old, repeated that she “tried to rebuild” because his life was “suspended for four years”.

The trial before the Vaucluse criminal court, with international repercussions, has entered its home stretch. Thursday, the defense of the co-defendants pleaded to escape from the “tornado” triggered by this affair on male-female relations. Conversely, on Wednesday, in an indictment “looking to the future”the prosecution had hoped that the future verdict would constitute “a message of hope” for victims of sexual violence.
The France Télévisions project, the broadcast date of which is still unknown, is not the only upcoming documentary on the issue. The British television channel Channel 5 is also preparing its own.
Baptized The Pelicot Rape Case: A Town on Trial (in French, The Gisèle Pelicot rape case: a city on trial), it will be broadcast on December 11 with the aim of presenting the case from a psychological, legal and cultural perspective. Residents of Mazan must intervene in the documentary. One of the alleged rapists, too. His image and voice must be anonymized.
