The Promisethe daily fiction of Spanish Radio Television (RTVE), has established itself as the first Spanish daily fiction to win the International Emmy Award for Best Telenovela. The award granted by the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences was collected by Josep Cister Rubio (creator of the series and executive producer) and Ramón Campos (producer and CEO of Bambú Producciones), who were received in Madrid by the protagonists of the series, who were accompanied by Concepción Cascajosa, the interim president of RTVE.
The actors have received the Emmy with great pride. “In my house everyone started screaming at seven in the morning, but it wasn’t until I got to the set that I understood what this was,” he confessed. Ana Garcés, who plays Jana. A great success
It’s been almost two years since the premiere of The Promise on La 1, and in a few months it became the revelation series of the year, leader in the time slot in which it is broadcast and one of the contents most chosen by the public on RTVE Play. Since its premiere in January 2023 and about to turn 500 episodes, it has collected other awards such as the FestVal 2023 Award and has been a finalist in the Rose D’Or of that same year.
