In two hours, he obtained almost 20,000 likesshowing once again the great impact they have her wardrobe choices every New Year’s Eve. With just one month to go until the look with which she will welcome the new year is revealed, the expectation around the presenter is maximum.
A clue about her next look?
The text concluded: “Last year represented the importance of taking care of water, of life. And this year of course there will also be a very powerful wish. I hope it comes true 🙏🏽❤️”. The presenter has implied that, once again, her design will have a powerful message that will invite us to reflect. Is it perhaps a tribute to those who died the DANA? Now, more than ever, it is worth remembering that symbolic costume.
Like every year, on New Year’s Eve 2023, Cristina wanted to take advantage of her speaker to raise awareness about a cause they care about. He did it hand in hand with Greenpeace with the aim of making visible an environmental reality in Spain. Her stylist, Josie, summarized this purpose exclusively for HELLO!: “protect water, the most precious resource for our existence and that of future generations”.
A seductive nymph who paid tribute to life on her first New Year’s Eve as a mother
When they finished finalizing the concept, they contacted Paula Ularguia pioneering designer in sustainable clothing based on the irrigation of seeds within fabrics, which give life and take root, creating textile art. Technology put to the benefit of fashion or, rather, responsible fashion manufacturing, is one of the focuses that this Navarrese researcher wants to highlight with her work.
The result of this collaboration was a set of three pieces loaded with symbology and inspired by a river nymphwhich Josie defines as “a cleansing waterfall, a torrent of living water.” The protagonist garment was this dress, made of an ephemeral material of gelatin, agar, glycerin and water which, worked through heat, was molded to hug the body and provide a touch so sensual and faithful to the essence of the presenter, leaving the abdomen and part of the leg exposed. Strategically placed to cover what is desired, the fabric simulates the sea waves.
The shoes, for their part, were built from a pine wood base decorated with fastening ribbons, which in turn were made using cotton fibers and the same biomaterial that makes up the dress. Even the smallest detail was calculated to perfection, from head to toe, and as a final touch they decided to comb her long hair with soft wet effect mermaid waves.
Evidently, it wasn’t until midnight that we discovered this look. In the previous hours, Pedroche had completely covered him with a layer that had a life of its own. What are we referring to? Based on ecru recycled wool, we practiced a hydroponic crop in which the different plants have taken root, resulting in a blanket of red amaranth to which nasturtium plants are added.
Regarding this aspect, Josie explained to HELLO! that, in the first phase of the creative process, he asked Cristina “make a dress that revolves around lifesince this 2023 she has given life to a wonderful baby“There is no doubt that her first bells as a mother marked a before and after in the history of our television, although we are sure that, if the message behind her next look is as significant as this one, it will touch millions of hearts across through the screens.
