Google’s AI will answer spoken questions about images and videos in its search engine

He google browser has changed quite a bit over the last year due to the integration of generative artificial intelligence (AI) into its results page. Since the Mountain View company made it official her first facelift at the beginning of the yearusers can make voice queries, identify the name of a song by simply humming it, and search what they see around them with the Lens app or ‘Circle to Find’ featureamong other capabilities.

However, with the intention of incorporating more AI into the search engine, Google will allow you to ask spoken questions about images and occasionally organize an entire results page to display relevant information instead of just displaying a list of links.

According to the Associated Press News agency, these changes are the next step in the reconfiguration driven by artificial intelligence that Google launched in mid-May, when it began to answer some queries with a summary written at the top of your results page thanks to the ‘AI Overview’ feature. Additionally, moving forward, Google is expected to improve the Lens functionality, which processes queries about objects in an image.

On the other hand, Google is also implementing ads in AI Overviews to see products in some of the summaries generated by the search engine’s artificial intelligence.

Google spokesperson Craig Ewer states for the newspaper The Verge that this novelty helps Internet users to “quickly connect with relevant companies, products and services to take the next step at the exact moment they need them”; taking into account that this function is only available on mobile devices in the United States.
