Constantine of Greece, the closest thing to a ‘prince charming’ of the 21st century: attractive, adventurous and ‘influencer’

We cannot forget that his mother, Marie-Chantal Miller, was born in London, into a very rich family. Her father, the American billionaire Robert Warren Miller, founder of the DFS luxury stores, and her mother, the Ecuadorian Chantal Pesantes Becerra, had three daughters and all of them touched by the magic wand of style: Marie-Chantal, princess of Greece, Alejandra von Fürstenberg and Pia Getty, known by the press as The Miller Sisters, synonymous with distinction and innate sense of fashion.

It’s not easy for someone who has been in the news since his birth in New York. As a testament to his position in the Monarchy – we cannot forget that he is also a member of Danish royalty through his grandmother, Queen Anne Mary – at his baptism, held on April 15, 1999 in the Saint Sophia Cathedral, from London, Queen Elizabeth II of England attended and her godparents were Philip VI of Spain, Frederick of Denmark, Victoria of Sweden, William of England, Nicholas of Greece, Demetrius of Yugoslavia and his maternal aunt, Alexandra von Fürstenberg.

One of the tasks that Constantine II undertook most ardently was to achieve that great family atmosphere among the Royal Houses beyond the historical circumstances that they had to live through. The abolition of the Monarchy in Greece did not prevent him from continuing to love and care for his country from a distance and, like Ulysses returning home after a thousand journeys away from his land, from returning with a full heart to Athens. It is worth remembering that, at the 1960 Rome Summer Games, Constantine of Greece became an Olympic medalist: he won the sailing gold medal, the first medal for his country since 1912. In the last years of his life, back at home, he thought calmly about death and had even chosen where he wanted to rest forever: “My family doesn’t like it when I talk about it, but I have chosen the place.
