On Thursday this pinup – who is now in her 60s – shared a flashback photo from when she was 16 with a caption about wishing she had slowed down in her youth.
‘1976 Glam photo. At 16. Crazy. Sometimes I wish I could go back and tell this little girl to slow down. It’s okay to slow down,’ she wrote.

Her ex is Eddie Van Halen who died in 2020. They were wed from 1981 until 2007 and together had Wolfgang, 33. She was then married to Tom Vitale from 20111 until 2012.
In July she Bertinelli said she has struggled to keep her own relationship rule.
The 64-year-old actress started dating lifestyle writer Mike Goodnough, 53.
In March and noted at the time that she had created a ‘three-week rule’ whereby they would never go longer than that period of time without seeing each other but admitted that has been a ‘challenge’ for them both.
She told People: ‘It’s been challenging. The summer has been booked full. It is challenging!’
The former Touched by an Angel actress also noted that this time round she is ready to keep her relationship more private.
She said: ‘A part of me is just like, it’s been so public and now I’m trying to pull back and make it so much less public, and try to keep some stuff for us now.
It’s like, ‘Oh, but, yeah, I let the cat out of the bag.’ I don’t know. I would like to start keeping it between us and make it a little bit more special.’

Valerie previously explained that the upon one of their first meetings earlier this year, she knew that everything felt ‘incredibly right’ as she embarked on her new relationship.
She said: ‘I’m driving up to meet him, and he’s already at the hotel standing outside. I just jump out of the car, and I run to him, and I hug him. It was the best hug. I immediately felt like I was home. This is where I belong, in this man’s arms. It all feels incredibly right.’

In April she Bertinelli said she ‘can’t just blame’ her ex-husband for their ‘toxic, horrible marriage’.
The actress acknowledges that Vitale wasn’t entirely responsible for their failed marriage.
During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Valerie explained: ‘I can’t just blame my ex-husband for a toxic, horrible marriage. It’s not his fault.
‘What led me to that? Oh, childhood! That’s the stuff I got to start working on.
‘I’ve found that when my gratitude is really placed in even the challenging, hard times, that’s when the growth really happens.’
Valerie explained that she’s still working through her own childhood trauma.
The actress acknowledges that her troubled past continues to influence her life.
Valerie said: ‘The business can really mess with a child’s head. I’m going back to the childhood stuff and working on that.’
