Former WWE Champion Potentially Out After Suffering Another Injury: Report

The main event of this past Monday Night Raw was something special, with Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed going head-to-head in a Last Monster Standing match.

The match featured multiple exciting spots, including the ring collapsing under the weight of both men.

In the end, Strowman came out victorious over Reed. However, it may have come at a cost.

According to a report from Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live, Strowman left the match against Reed with a potential injury.

“Braun Strowman got hit by Bronson Reed with a Samoan Drop,” Alvarez said. “Braun Strowman grabbed his thigh/groin area, and then they were gonna do a spot where he knocked Bronson Reed off the apron through some chairs. And man, this guy starts running, and I knew immediately this guy’s hurt.”

Alvarez also stated that he had the injury “confirmed.” However, there was no update regarding what kind of injury it was. Based on Strowman’s movement, Alvarez believes he “may have torn his groin.”

Ironically, this match marked the return of Seth “Freakin” Rollins, who has been out for about two months due to injury.

Strowman made his return to WWE on April 29, 2024, after undergoing neck surgery in 2023.

After training in WWE and appearing in dark matches from 2013-2015, Strowman officially debuted on WWE as a member of The Wyatt Family with Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan.

Strowman became a singles talent when he was separated from The Wyatt Family due to the 2016 WWE Draft. He quickly became one of the top big men in the company, having memorable matches with Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn.

The Monster Among Men would remain with WWE until he was surprisingly released on June 2, 2021. After spending some time on the independent wrestling scene, Strowman would return to WWE on Sept. 5, 2022.

After his return, Strowman would form a memorable tag team with Ricochet, eventually winning the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender Tournament, although they would never win the titles.

During his time with WWE, Strowman has won the WWE Universal Championship, the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship twice.

Strowman has also won Men’s Money in the Bank in 2018, the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2019, and the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble.
