The Government launches a campaign to “detect” bullying

The Minister of Education and Vocational Training of the Generalitat, Esther Niubó, presented this Wednesday a campaign to “spot the signs” that a situation of school bullying and raise awareness in the educational community about the importance of being attentive.

It includes a spot for television and social networks that focuses on two students who are “accompanied by bullying all day long,” since They cannot stop visualizing the insults and humiliation they receive in everyday objects such as a milk bottle, a bus stop or the alarm clock. The aim is to represent, in this way, the psychological burden that bullying entails for its victims. There are also posters hanging on public roads, which will be distributed in all Catalan educational centers.

One of the protagonists of the ads, Ariadna, stated at the event that she has also been a victim of bullying and, after explaining her experience, she called on teachers to get more involved in these situations: “If you see a child sitting alone on the stairs it is not because he wants to be alone”.
