A minor was attacked last Sunday by a pack of hunting dogs when I was walking through an urbanization from the Ourense town hall of Pereiro de Aguiar. The mother has filed a complaint and the Civil Guard has opened an investigation to clarify the facts.
The event took place on the morning of September 29 when the minor, 16 years old, went for a walk with his dog, a Chihuahua. According to the story collected by Europa Press, the teenager decided to stay in a park near the Tapada de Bouzas urbanization because he knew that there was a hunting trip in the nearby mountains.
However, he and his pet were attacked by the hunters’ dogs, which came running and headed towards them. The youngest He wanted to lift his dog to avoid the attackbut he was not able to. He received bites on his hand and his pet suffered a pneumothorax and several broken ribs.
Hunting dogs and their owners identified
The animal was treated at the veterinary clinic, where it had to undergo a surgical intervention worth 1,500 euros, and The minor was transferred to the Cosaga medical center so that they could perform the cures. The victim’s mother filed a complaint this Tuesday at the Esgos Civil Guard barracks and the agents have started the investigation.
The Civil Guard confirms that the dogs have been identified. The investigation is open and the owners of the dogs could be charged with the crime of reckless injuries.
This is not the only incident that the residents of Pereiro de Aguiar have experienced during the hunting season. Last January, another pack of dogs ended the life of a mare on a nearby farm.
