Syrian TV journalist Safaa Ahmed and two civilians killed in Israeli airstrike on Damascus

The Syrian state news agency reported several airstrikes allegedly by Israel on Damascuswhere the death of the Syrian television journalist was reported Safaa Ahmedand two other civilians. According to the SANA agency, Syrian air defenses faced Israeli airstrikes that left three civilians dead and nine injuredas well as significant material damage.

This attack occurs on the same day that Israel announced that it was beginning a ground operation in Lebanonwhich has joined more bombings of the capital, Beirutand at Ein el-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp.

“The Israeli enemy launched an air attack with military planes flying from the direction of the Occupied Syrian Golan, targeting various points in Damascus city“, according to a military source informed SANA.

The Israeli Army began a “limited, localized and specific” ground incursion on the southern border of Lebanon in the early hours of Tuesday, as confirmed by the Israeli armed force (IDF) in a statement. “A few hours ago, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) began limited, localized and selective ground raidsbased on accurate information, against Hezbollah terrorist targets and infrastructure in southern Lebanon,” they announced in a statement.

And at Ein el-Hilweh campwhere more than 100,000 Palestinians live in southern Lebanon, in the city of Sidon, more than 50 kilometers from the border, where the leader of Al-Aqsa, the armed wing of Fatah, Munir Al-Maqdah, was supposedly located. As Palestinian sources confirmed to Lebanese television Al Manar, he was unharmed.
