We started looking at the dresses and, curiously, the first one I tried on turned out to be the one. It was a moment magical and I knew immediately that it was the perfect dress for my big day.

This Extremadura native completed her style with romantic Lodi pumps, a white pair from the brand’s bridal collection adorned with strips of Swarovski crystals. As jewelry, some earrings from Castellano, a jewelry store in her city, and a tiara that enhanced the romantic and fairy-tale princess aesthetic that so characterized her look. It was a jewel, also belonging to Pronovias, with a fine and classic style adorned with small shiny stones.

Another of the accessories that she was clear about that she wanted to wear was the veil, without a doubt, the most distinctive for brides, and she decided to enter the church with her face covered. “I am a very traditional person. Complying with certain traditions on such a special day seems important and meaningful to me. For example, I was always very clear that I wanted to go veiled, it was something that I knew from the beginning would be part of my bridal look. “These traditions add a special and symbolic touch to the ceremony, making the day even more memorable.”

The entire wedding floristry, including the bouquet, was the work of the company Marqués de la Vaca, who Marta explains did an exceptional job. She wanted to opt for the timelessness and subtle elegance of white and green tones: “My bridal bouquet was composed mainly of peonies, among other flowers selected with great care. It was really beautiful and perfectly complemented my dress and the atmosphere of the ceremony” .

This bride decided to change up for the party as she was looking for something lighter and more fun for the reception that captured the holiday spirit. “My second dress, with feathers, was designed by a dressmaker from my city, María José González Cuenda. She did an incredible job, creating a design that complemented my main dress and allowed me to comfortably enjoy the celebration.”

A crush that ended in a wedding

The story of Marta and Javier, both natives of Extremadura, began as a crush that led to a summer romance and, 8 years later, a wedding. “We met one summer night through mutual friends. We saw each other and he came up to talk to me. We spent hours talking, with time flying. That initial connection was so strong that we decided to meet in person shortly after. Today “We have been together for 8 years, married and we continue to enjoy every moment shared,” she says, excited.

“We met as teenagers and have grown together ever since, strengthening our relationship over time.” After so much time together, they were both clear that they wanted to take the step of getting married. Javier decided to surprise Marta and proposed to her on her birthday, in front of their families. “From the beginning, we were clear about the date to get married, since we love summer.”

They chose July 6, and said ‘I do’ in a beautiful religious ceremony that took place in the Church of Santa María Magdalena, in Olivenza (Badajoz), after which the couple and their guests traveled to the Wineries Puente Ayuda, in the same town, to enjoy the banquet and subsequent party. “It was a magical day full of special moments, combining the historical beauty of the church with the rustic charm of the wineries for the celebration.”

A fun anecdote about this beautiful connection is that Marta and Javier were accompanied by their dogs, who are fundamental in their life.
