At 8:00 p.m. and after the guests have paraded along the black carpet placed at the Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, the 71st edition of one of the Ondas 2024 Awards, one of the most prestigious awards in the world, has begun. of television, radio and entertainment in Spain. As soon as it begins, and under the direction of José Luis Sastre and Miguel Maldonado, presenters of the podcast Sastre and Maldonadowanted to remember what happened in our country on October 29, after a terrible DANA devastated everything in its path: “Amunt Valencia”.
The ceremony, organized by PRISA, recognizes the best professionals and cultural projects in the sector. Among the winners, chosen from more than 500 national and international candidates, are great names from our country, such as Isabel Jiménez. The presenter, who collected the award ex-aequo, experienced an anecdotal moment in which she confessed that “I thought the award weighed more.” A nice comment to which the presenters have responded by confessing that “it’s a prop.” As soon as she began her speech, very excited, she wanted to thank the jury for “making a girl happy.”
The host of Informativos Telecinco, who has opted for a dress from the Valencian brand Isabel Sanchis – to support the Valencian firm – he has dedicated this award to his family, to whom he has dedicated some moving words: “To my parents. Dad, mom, thank you for understanding my crazy things. Álex, thank you for having lived them during these 20 years with Dani and Alex, forgive mom for the stolen time.”
He has also made a request related to the victims of the cold drop after spending a week in Paiporta: “Please, let us become more humane, because we must tell things with rigor, but also with soul. That is what differentiates us from the intelligences artificial, listening, knowing how to listen”.
His partner, Marta Reyero, has been honored with the same award. She got on stage in an impressive pink dress and remembered all those important people in her daily life: “A prize that life gives you after working and trying to do your best,” she said when collecting her award that Ondas returns to “its home, because I started working at Cadena Ser de Asturias” and has thanked its team for the award: “They are a perfect mechanism of professionalism and generosity; they have never left me alone and have made me better and thanks also to Alberto Maple”.
The Ondas for his career in radio has been given to Ángels Barceló. In fact, the presenters have been moved by saying her name, since they work with her and “we love and admire her.” Without a doubt, he has been one of the stars of the night for turning 40 years in front of a microphone. “There is a person from this stage that I made is Sara Vítores, who made our lives easier. We miss her a lot.” Finally, he thanked Josep Morell and his daughter, Clara, who could not hold back her tears: “Without their love and understanding, I would not have gotten this far.”
The Javis have come in very good company, as they have attended with part of the cast of La Mesías, the successful series that has also won the Ondas for best series. After taking the stage, Javi Ambrosio and Javier Calvo sent a message of protest with their speeches, in which they wanted to highlight that “art unites, puts us in agreement and excites us” and remember what is happening in the Valencian Community where “Young people work as a team as we have seen these days and it is something to admire.”
Next to them on stage was Macarena García, who opted for a ground-breaking look consisting of a jacket and skirt suit with white lace straps. For her part, Carmen Machi has worn a spectacular long dress. Amaia also wanted to be present, with a strapless dress in gray and Ana Rujas, with a blazer and shorts in pastel pink that she combined with beige boots.
One of the most emotional moments of the gala was when Benigno Moreno honored Álex Angulo, Juan Megías, Concha Velasco and Verónica Forqué: “They would surely have been very happy with this award. We miss them a lot.” Just like when Ginebras, who received the award for musical revelation, wanted to vindicate the role of women: “We felt that we were not worthy of it. Many women will also have felt identified with this feeling, which is terrible. It is also going you”.
