The kings of Spain They moved during the day on Friday to Galiciawhere they enjoyed a private dinner in tribute to the 40th anniversary of the swearing in of king’s army promotion flag. Before attending the meeting, the monarchs also had time to visit the Marín Naval Academy, where the Princess Eleanor undergoing his military training.
The event took place in the Pontevedra town of Comobarro. The monarchs were able to enjoy a dinner based on Galician products which was served on the shore of the estuary Pontevedra. Zamburiñas, octopus, prawn skewers or empanada are some of the dishes that the monarchs enjoyed during the evening at the O Peirao restaurant.
Accompanied by the Queen Letiziathe monarch returned to one of the settings he used to attend during his military training in the Naval Military School of Marin, where Princess Leonor is now as a first class midshipman.
At the end of dinner, Philip VI and Letizia posed for the media as they left the restaurant. Both were seen smiling in front of the cameras and even joked with journalists. “The whole time here… Haven’t they had dinner either?“, the king of Spain kindly asked the photographers. When asking them about the visit to Marín, it was Letizia who responded with “very good, thank you.”
Previously, Felipe VI and Letizia, together with the king emeritus Juan Carlos Ikept in a “brief family and private meeting” with Princess Leonor at the Marín Naval School.
The emeritus left the facilities of the Marín Naval School around 8:15 p.m. and later the kings traveled to Sanxenxo to meet again with classmates of the monarch.
Next week, Felipe VI will also be in Pontevedra to inaugurate the La Toja-Vínculo Atlántico Forum in O Grovewhile his daughter will continue her training in Marín and the emeritus will participate in the championship of Europe of class 6M in Sanxenxo, towns very close to each other.
