Balmain is one of France’s most iconic fashion houses, founded in 1945 by Pierre Balmain. Paris Fashion Week is one of the most anticipated events of the year, characterised by innovation and style, and Balmain’s Spring/Summer 2025 show was no exception. Fronted by Oliver Rousteing, the ‘maison’ has presented a collection that celebrates the architecture of the female body, strength and sophistication through a proposal that has fused classical elements with a futuristic aesthetic for all ages. Thus, from the first steps on the catwalk, the collection has made clear its focus on strong structures and powerful silhouettes.
Dresses and jackets with Exaggerated shoulder pads conveyed a sense of avant-garde with the aim of giving prominence to femininity in its strongest version. Prints were another element, such as: Female faces, red lips and hands that adorned several looks, bringing an air of surrealism and visual play.
Horizontal line prints were also seen with inlaid rhinestones, decorated with chains and pearls. Dresses and suits with details that added a complex, yet dazzling visual texture.
The use of shiny fabrics captured the light and accentuated the outfits. In addition, metallic structures were also an integral part of the collection. As for the color palette, Rousteing maintained a mix of Neutral tones such as white, black and beige, balanced by the vibrant presence of warmer colours like red and orange, adding dynamism and vitality.

In parallel, Brooklyn Beckham and the influential Anna Wintour were present, reaffirming the importance of the event in the international fashion calendar.
