CULIACAN, Sin., October 26, 2024.- A violent Saturday occurred today, 48 days after the rivalry between Los Chapitos and La Mayiza. They were reported 10 homicidesamong them the discovery of a body wrapped in a tarp and another that was burned.
In addition, 11 more murders were recorded yesterday, Friday, bringing the total to 21 in two days and almost 300 dead since the confrontation began between the criminal groups that dispute the plaza of Culiacan.
Also on this day two were found executed in the Culiacán-Eldorado highway and murdered three people, including a woman, who were traveling in a van through the Culiacán-Guasave coastal highway.
According to the investigation folders opened by the State Attorney General’s Office, the most impressive fact was the discovery of an abandoned ice chest in the Culiacán 87 park that contained human remains and a head.
It is presumed that they left her after midnight, but they reported her until 1:30 a.m. this Saturday. The Forensic Medical Service came to collect the cooler to take it to the amphitheater and thus proceed with the identification of the body.
Later, between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m., a gun chase of three people traveling in a van on the Culiacán-Guasave coastal highway culminated in the death of two men and a woman.
The events ended near the toll booth called San Blasin the town of Villa Ángel Flores, better known as La Palma, within the municipality of Navolato.
The two men and the woman were in a white pickup truck without license plates and were chased for several kilometers until they fell into a ditch near a plot. During the shooting, a worker from the federal highway concession company was injured.
On the Culiacán-Eldorado highway, near the town of Costa Rica, two bodies were found with signs of torture and gunshot wounds. They were abandoned on the side of the road next to a beer store. They were transferred to the Culiacán Forensic Medical Service; They are not yet identified.
In the Guadalupe Victoria neighborhoodsouthwest of Culiacán, a burned body was found inside a luxurious home located on the corner of the Leandro Quintero and Manuel Estrada streets. The neighbors commented that last night they arrived to set the property on fire.
On the other hand, in the Culiacán-Sanalona highwaythey found the body of a male person wrapped in a tarp. He showed signs of torture and gunshot wounds. It was on the edge of the El Carrizalejo townnear where a confrontation occurred between the military and a criminal group of 30 individuals that culminated in the death of 19 and the capture of Edwin Antonio Rubio López ‘El Max’ or ‘The Bear’.
Likewise, today the body of Kevin, 23, who had been kidnapped last Tuesday, October 22, in the streets of the Laureles Pinos subdivision, along with another companion, was found.
He was found dead with signs of torture and gunshot wounds, on the edge of the highway known as La Costerita, south of Culiacán, next to the La Primavera residential subdivision.
These events are added to the cases registered by the State Attorney General’s Office yesterday Friday, among which the attack suffered by four municipal police officers of Navolato stands out, two died and two were seriously injured.
Furthermore, there was 19 complaints of theft or looting of vehicles and two complaints for illegal deprivation of liberty.
