According to the “ranking”, the national team, which has 1340.87 points, currently occupies 13th place at African level, after Morocco (1st) Senegal (2nd), Egypt (3rd), Nigeria (4th), Algeria (5th) , Ivory Coast (6th), Tunisia (7th), Cameroon (8th), Mali (9th) DR Congo (10th), South Africa (11th) and Burkina Faso (12th).
The defeat in the two games of the third and fourth rounds of Group C, recently played, of African qualification for CAN’2025 against Botswana, contributed to the sharp fall of the Blue Tubarões, the name by which the Cape Verdean football team is known. .
Botswana, in turn, rose seven positions, currently occupying 140th place with 1088.45 points.
