The Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries (MCIC) launched this Thursday, 24th, the “Fomentation of the Arts” notice for the economic year 2024. The notice aims to support national and foreign artists, agents and producers residing in the country .
According to the regulations, the purpose of this notice is the selection of artistic projects capable of receiving financial support from the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries, which consist of the acquisition of goods, raw materials and equipment for their implementation in the national territory.
This notice aims to promote the arts and creative industries, in the following areas: Fine Arts and Photography; Craftsmanship; Dance; Design and Fashion; Music and Theater.
According to the regulations, in the case of candidates with another nationality, they must have permanent residence on one of the Cape Verde islands and demonstrate an active career, for more than two years, in the national artistic/creative scene.
Cultural projects must be sent by November 9th, using the link available on the Ministry of Culture’s social networks.
Applications must be accompanied by the following elements: Duly completed project form; Company commercial registration; Declaration of the company’s and applicant’s NIF and the company’s bank statement (only after selecting the respective application).
The selected projects will receive financing worth 180 thousand escudos, and this amount will be transferred to the bank account of the proponent’s company.
The list of selected and non-selected projects will be published on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries (MCIC).
