The most exceptional dog photographs from across the globe this year have been revealed.Â
Fifteen images were selected as winners of the annual Dog Photography Awards from a pool of over 1,700 entries from over 60 countries. Â
The stunning photos show the extraordinary beauty, talent and spirit of our canine companions.Â
While there is no overall winner, there are five categories in the competition – Portrait, Action, Studio, Dogs & People, and Documentary.Â
Sophia Hutchinson from the UK came in third place in the Portrait category with ‘Hot off the Press. The picture of a wirehaired Vizsla was taken in Leadenhall Market, London, which once was a thriving trading centre of meat, game and poultry
Ida Levin from Sweden came in second place in the Dogs and People category with this photograph. 90-year-old Rune is pictured with his pooch Hajen who he says is his only happiness in life

John Fabiano from the US came in first place in the Documentary category with this photo ‘Greenlandic Flat Tire’. It was taken during a blizzard in Siorapaluk, the northernmost indigenous village in the world and features Greenlandic Huskies
Norway’s Regine Jensen came in third place in the Studio category with this photo titled ‘I see you’Â
Anne-Laurie Leger from Canada came in third place in the Action category with this photo. It shows Maze trotting but it is the fact that her paws are touching that makes it the perfect shot
