A neighbor recorded a video about the damage caused after the car bomb explosion in Acámbaro, Guanajuatothe morning of this Thursday, October 24.
“This is in Acámbaro, Guanajuato, car bomb. As you can see, this is what it’s like to wake up today, October 24, to the explosion of a car. I don’t know what security we have, I don’t see the mayor present here, while there are injured people here in the police,” said the woman who recorded the images.
The video shows the facilities of the Ministry of Security cordoned off, as well as the burned remains of the car bomb that exploded.
Around there are houses and other damaged vehicles, while the neighbor assured that she could have died along with her daughters due to these events.

Meanwhile, elements of the National Guard they asked the population get away from the area to avoid risks of any other explosive device and while debris removal and investigation work is carried out.
Governor announces security operation in Guanajuato
The Governor of Guanajuato, Libya Denise García Muñoz Ledoreacted to the criminal attacks against the security corporations of the municipalities of Acámbaro and Jerécuaro.
In Acambaro, A car bomb exploded in front of the Public Security building, leaving three police officers injured, as well as five buildings and seven vehicles damaged.
Simultaneously, in Jerécuaro, a Public Security patrol was attacked with bullets and then set on fire with an explosive device, outside Public Security facilities that are located a few meters from the Municipal Presidency.
The governor reported, through her social networks, that “in the face of events that occurred in Acámbaro and Jerécuaro I want to be very emphatic: our priority is pacification of Guanajuato, and we will achieve this complex task together.
“We are immediately deploying an operation by land and air with the State Public Security Forces, in support of the municipal police and in coordination with Sedena and the National Guard,” he said.
The state president said that suspended its schedule of public activities “to call a security meeting with the Municipal Presidents, Claudia Silva Campos, from Acámbaro, and Isabel Acevedo, from Jerécuaro, as well as Sedena, the National Guard, the State and Republic Prosecutors’ Offices.
“Our municipalities are not alone, all the strength of the State is united in this task of returning peace to Guanajuato,” said the Governor Libya García.
