Rocha Moya, AMLO’s García Luna – El Financiero

Rocha Moya, AMLO’s García Luna – El Financiero

The Sinaloa prosecutor’s office, which since the beginning of Rubén Rocha Moya’s six-year term, did his dirty work, wanted to erase the evidence that the former rector of the state university had been murdered when he was going to meet with the governor before two ‘quality witnesses’ : May Zambada and a son of Chapo Guzmán, Joaquín.

The version of what happened on the day of the crime, released by May Zambada, in a letter that his lawyer released when he was detained in Texas, coincides with the evidence found by the Attorney General’s Office.

In the house where the capo was kidnapped, there was Héctor Melesio Cuén, who was murdered at the scene.

Trying to erase the evidence with a montage, as the Rocha Moya prosecutor’s office did, is a fact that incriminates the state government in that murder.

The crime against Héctor Melesio Cuén was a political crime, and the setup of the prosecution was a State operation.

From the government of the state of Sinaloa, for now.

At that time, the governor had the active protection of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

On July 25, Héctor Melesio Cuén, former rector of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, went to meet with Governor Rubén Rocha Moya at a house inhabited by Joaquín Guzmán López, where Ismael Zambada would be present.

With the mediation of May Zambada, the former rector, wanted his political rival, the governor, to stop the persecution against his family and against the university.

Both Cuén’s son and the current rector of the UAS have an arrest warrant and are fugitives, due to Rocha Moya’s brutality against the late Héctor Melesio Cuén.

Shortly after arriving at the son’s house Chapoin the Huertos del Pedregal subdivision, in Culiacán, the former rector was murdered, May tied up and taken to the United States, and the escort of the capo – police from the state Judicial Police – lifted and allegedly murdered.

Governor Rocha Moya did not arrive at the meeting where Cuén and May was kidnapped.

The state prosecutor’s office carried out a setup to make it appear that former rector Cuén had been murdered during an assault at a gas station.

The attorney general, Alejandro Gertz, did not buy the gas station story and warned of the possible existence of a setup, which he verified and announced on recent Sunday.

The state prosecutor was put in office by Rocha Moya, and was at his service. These are the facts:

When Rubén Rocha was declared governor-elect, he asked the state attorney general, Juan José Ríos Estavillo, to resign from the position even though the prosecutor’s office is ‘autonomous’ and the official had three years left to complete his assignment.

In the ‘autonomous’ prosecutor’s office he placed Judge Sara Bruna Quiñónez, people from the team of Enrique Inzunza Cázarez, former president of the state Court of Justice, former Secretary of Government of Rocha Moya and current senator of Morena.

The prosecutor in the setup of Cuén’s murder also put together the file that she presented to the Judiciary, and Congress ousted and deposed the mayor of Culiacán, Jesús Estrada, of the PT, for allegedly renting garbage trucks.

There was no such fraud, Estrada is free, but they removed him from the municipal presidency of the capital of Sinaloa. He had competed against Rocha for the state government candidacy.

The prosecutor put together a case against the mayor of Mazatlán, Guillermo Benítez, who was Rocha Moya’s other internal competitor for the state government candidacy. Congress ousted him and removed him from the position to which he had been elected.

The well-known beer businessman Alfredo López Castro registered as a PAS candidate (whose leader was Cuén) for the mayor of Mocorito in the last elections. The registration was at noon and at night the beer distributor was closed.

The state Alcohol director summoned him to his office and doubled it in 20 seconds: “Alfredo, you are with the wrong brand. If you want to continue using (sic) of the permits, declines.” He had the state attorney’s office on his side. The businessman declined without thinking twice.

This is what happened with at least six PAS candidates for various positions, they declined due to pressure from the Morenoist government that had the Rocha Moya prosecutor’s office as a tool of extortion.

And Governor Rocha Moya had an all-powerful protector: the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The former president has to answer the obvious question: why is the total support for a governor who came to office with the armed participation of the Sinaloa Carteldespite knowing the criminal acts?

The evidence of Rocha’s link to the cartel is at hand.

AMLO must explain why he gave him that protection.

If not, Rocha Moya will be even more toxic for López Obrador than García Luna is for Felipe Calderón.
