Think twice before wasting banana peels again. As Informe Brasil explains, you can and should use it in domestic work.
The same publication states that it has five uses. Namely:
1- Banana peels can be used to polish silver. Simply rub the inside of the shell directly on the silver to remove tarnish and restore its shine. If your goal is to clean several pieces, make a paste by grinding several peels in a blender. Then, apply the mixture obtained to the silver with the help of a soft cloth. Finally, simply rinse the silver with warm water and detergent;
2- To clean the dust that accumulates on the leaves of indoor plants, use the inside of the banana peel. In addition to removing dirt, it will give the leaves shine, due to the natural oils in the bark;
3- Scratched sofa, bags or leather shoes? Rub the inside of the banana in damaged areas. Then, use a soft cloth to polish and shine, using circular movements;
4- To polish wooden furniture and get rid of small scratches and water marks, use a banana peel to polish the surface. Make circular movements. Finally, just clean with a cloth;
5- Get rid of scratches on CD’s and DVD’s. Just rub a banana peel on the discs.
