The National Police has arrested a man in Valencia yoga teacher accused of sexually abusing several students during their classes, as confirmed this Wednesday by sources familiar with the investigation.
The Police received different complaints, initially from at least six victims, who claim to have suffered touching by this monitor during the classes he taught in a studio located in the Carmen neighborhood, in the center of the city.
As a result of these complaints, the authorities opened an investigation that culminated last week with the arrest of the professor, a 48-year-old man of Peruvian nationality, and who He has a police record.
He organized “retreats” in rural houses
According to the newspaper Lift-EMVthe arrested man attacked the students – between 28 and 40 years old – with the pretext of correcting postures or removing discomfort. These events would have been occurring since 2021 and, in addition to the Valencia studio, they would also have occurred in “retreats” that he carried out in rural houses outside the province.
The man was brought to justice on October 18, around 9:00 p.m. The Investigative Court number 7 of Valencia agreed to his release with charges, considering that there is no risk of escape or possibility of him attacking the complainants again.
