Alberto Chicote and his Kitchen Nightmare team have arrived in Barcelona to try to save EmbersAndmorea restaurant located in the industrial estate of Granollers which is on the verge of closure. The owner, Redón, has been running the business for four years, which in its beginnings It was mainly aimed at truck drivers, but now it is going through a serious crisis. The debts have grown and the clients have stopped coming, plunging the owner into despair and even affecting his personal life.

Redón, who is also the restaurant’s cook, is so unmotivated that he has neglected essential aspects of his restaurant. The state of the establishment is alarming, a clear example is the lack of cleaning, and cockroaches that have taken over practically every corner of the place. This critical situation makes intervention more urgent than ever.

Upon arrival, Chicote finds an unattractive exterior and upon entering he discovers an even more worrying reality. Employees describe the food like “hospital”, and the work environment is marked by constant shouting in the kitchen. Furthermore, the hygienic conditions are deplorable, with an infestation of cockroaches and bad odors coming from the cold room.

The challenge for Chicote is to transform the menu and the management of the establishment, to restore motivation and hope to the owner of the establishment, who faces ruin and collapse of his personal life if he doesn’t manage to start his restaurant.

What is the current situation of BrasasYmás?

Currently, the restaurant BrasasYmás has already closed its doors permanently. Despite Alberto Chicote’s efforts to revitalize the business, the difficulties the establishment faced, from management problems to lack of clientele, were too great to overcome. Although the restaurant was operational for a time after the program intervention, it was ultimately unable to sustain itself in the competitive hospitality market.
