Donald Trump‘s cell phone background is an image of himself.
The big reveal came via online sleuths who investigated two separate pictures shared to social media of the former president and his iPhone on its lock screen.
The former president’s background image is from July 19, 2019 when he was still in office.
The Getty Image shot by photographer Chip Somodevilla shows Trump staring into and pointing directly at the camera.Â
It was captured during a departure from the South Lawn of the White House when Trump was traveling to New Jersey for a fundraising dinner at his golf club in Bedminster.

When zoomed in, it becomes clear that the lock screen image is Trump from July 19, 2019, when he was still in office
An image posted by Aaron Steinberg, who is known as Steiny with the YouTube group the Nelk Boys, shows Trump’s iPhone sitting face up on a table while he was posing with the trio.Â
Trump signed Make America Great Again hats for the YouTube group as they joined him aboard Trump Force One for a video on the 2024 candidate’s plane.
Additionally, Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.) posted a photo with Trump on his Facebook page on October 5 where Trump’s cell phone wallpaper is also visible.
The Senator, who is running for reelection, was traveling with the former president to Butler, Pennsylvania for his return after the assassination attempt on his life at the same location just two-and-a-half months earlier.
Schmitt is thought to be on Trump’s shortlist for Attorney General if he gets a second term.

Zooming in on Trump’s phone on the table of his campaign jet, it becomes clear that the former president has the image of himself as the background on at least one of his mobile devices.
Some previous videos and images are harder to discern, but now that the two more clear images were posted it has become obvious that the image in use is the 2019 picture of Trump.
One video of him golfing in late 2023 clearly shows his phone screen with the aforementioned shot from his time in the Oval Office.
