During the broadcast of the game, commentator Al Michaels made a comment stating the NFL not showing the replay of the injury means that it could be very significant. More details will be revealed — but from the look of it, Adebo might be dealing with a potentially season-ending injury.

Adebo was already having a wonderful year in the Saints’ secondary. He has a total of 46 tackles, three interceptions, and 10 passes defended through six games.

As stated, the Saints have been dealing with a ton of injuries on both sides of the ball. Heading into Thursday Night Football, the offense is already missing Derek Carr, Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, and Taysom Hill.

Carr is out with an oblique injury and will be sidelined for a couple more games. Olave is out with a concussion, but he might be able to return by Week 8. Shaheed was placed on IR, and it was then revealed that he had a full meniscus repair surgery, and will be out for the rest of 2024. Hill is dealing with fractured ribs, and might also be out for a couple more games.

To make matters worse, the Saints are now dealing with the loss of Adebo. The hope is that the cornerback only suffered a minor to less severe leg injury. However, the inflatable cast and cart are not great signs.

Updates will be provided, and there will be tests done to determine the extent of the damage.

Adebo is coming off a 2023 where he secured 76 total tackles, two forced fumbles, four interceptions, and 18 passes defended.

Losing Adebo for the season would be a huge hit for the Saints. Rookie corner Kool-Aid McKinstry was called in for the injured Adebo.
