This Christmas, Ana Obregón is experiencing more special holidays than ever, full of excitement thanks to little Anita. The arrival of the little girl has returned the magic of Christmas to her home, but the memory of her son Aless, always present in her heart, turns these celebrations into a mix of love, emotion and nostalgia. “I know that I have my son forever, for eternity. But Anita is a little piece of Aless. It is her blood, it is her genes. It is what I have alive here, on earth. How can I not hug her ?”the presenter tells us.
Little Anita is a little piece of Aless, and in this emotional interview, Ana Obregón herself tells us the most special (and unexpected) detail she received after the death of her son, in 2020. “When Aless happened, I received many gifts. The people are so empathetic and loving that many anonymous people sent me gifts. A gift that made me very excited was a pillow with a photo of Aless printed on the fabric. And that mother, who had also lost a son, told me that I slept hugging a pillow like that every night,” she tells us. And she adds: “So, I slept hugging that pillow until Anita was born. One day, the girl grabbed the pillow and hasn’t let it go. In other words, he carries her around the house like a little dog. I’ve had to wash her so many times that her face has almost faded, you can barely see it, but she points and says: “Daddy”because she sees it.”
“My first real Christmas”
On the other hand, the actress reveals to us that Anita’s first word was “dad.” The first thing he said was ‘dad’. When he saw a photo of his father, I always told him: “This is dad.”. There’s an album here that we watch constantly. I have thousands. And I taught it to him as a baby, because he already loved turning the pages since he was eight months old. And I said: “It’s dad, it’s dad.” But Anita didn’t speak. And suddenly, one day, he says very quietly, but with a beautiful voice: “Dad.” And I say, “What did you say?” I was one year old. Dad. His first word was dad,” she tells us excitedly.
Furthermore, these special dates are going to become, for the first time, Ana’s first real Christmas, even if they have a bittersweet taste. “This is my first real Christmas, yes, because before Anita was very little and, well, I saw lights, I saw decorations, but she was only a few months old, she was six months old.”. And now, well, she goes crazy with the tree, with the lights; I’m going to put the entire hedge decorated with lights and Santa Claus is going to come. I ask him what he wants Santa Claus to bring him and he tells me: “Un tete!”, he tells us between laughs. And what plans do you have for this Christmas?
“The whole family will get together. What happens is that on Christmas Eve everyone has their children, their families. So what we’re going to do is, probably on Christmas Day, have a meal or something like that, because Anita is too little to go to dinner, because, at one and a half years old,at 8:30 p.m. he is in bed. Well, sometimes later, because there is no one to put her to sleep.”
