The new edition of the famous book of Guinness World Records It includes no more and no less than fifteen amazing brands obtained by Spaniards, and it must be said that they are very diverse. On the one hand, the best known record is that of Carlos Sainz at the beginning of 2024, being, at 61 years old, the oldest winner in the history of the rally Dakar; followed by that of the double Olympic medalist Maria Perezwhich broke a world record in May 2023, completing 35 kilometers in 2 hours, 37 minutes and 15 seconds. But there are other more curious ones, like that of the juggler Michael Ferreriwho achieved four records including the most 360 degree spins, juggling three and five balls – 44 and 7 respectively; that of the tallest crochet sculpture, which won the tree Vilamarxant Christmas 23.5 meters high; or the group of acrobats ‘Bid!’ which set the record for most cartwheels — 17 — during one minute, on a suspended sphere.
And a special mention in the Icons section has been earned Christian Lopez Rodriguezwhich already has more than 140 world record titles in different categories such as sack races, with trays, walking backwards, on one leg, juggling on stairs or walking with crutches.
