•  First Acoustics presents Joe Crookston on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Catskills, 320 Sawkill  Road, town of Ulster.  As a singer-songwriter, Crookston is a master storyteller. His music swirls with themes of lightness, darkness, clocks ticking, fiddle looping, weeping willows, slide guitar bending, cynicism, hope, and the cycles of life and rebirth. • The Kingston Interfaith Council will host a “Before our National Election” candlelight prayer vigil on Monday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. at the St. James United Methodist Church at 35 Pearl St. Kingston. The Interfaith Council said the event will be “for our community, houses of worship, nation and world.”

• A shoe drive fundraiser, supporting the Kingston High School class of 2027, is being held through Wednesday, Dec. 11. Collected shoes also will help support micro-enterprises in developing nations. Drop-off locations are Kingston High School, 403 Broadway, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, and Saturday, Dec. 7,  and Ulster Hose, 830 Ulster Ave., from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, and Saturday, Nov. 23.

• An exhibition titled “Farms, Feathers & Fields,” runs through Sunday, Nov. 10, at Tivoli Artists Gallery 60 Broadway, Tivoli. Thirty-seven artists will be participating in the show, which is the gallery’s annual tribute to local lands. • “Hops for Happiness,” an event raising awareness for autism, will take place Sunday, Nov. 3, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Keegan Ales, 20 St. James St., Kingston. The event will feature live entertainment, raffles, a silent auction, and food and beverages. “Hops for Happiness” supports the Center for Spectrum Services, providing programs and services to those with autism.
