We have seven proposals with exceptional offers.

Cultural speed dating in the art district

Symbolic image for Frankfurt art galleries

As a warm-up to the Night of the Museums, art enthusiasts have the opportunity to get to know eleven galleries in one go.

Internationally renowned galleries have come together under the label “Galerien Frankfurt Mitte (GFM)”, which are located in the art quarter between the Museum of Modern Art, the Kunsthalle Schirn, the Frankfurter Kunstverein and the Portikus. The spectrum of the GFM extends to current contemporary art, to classical modernism, to non-European art.

After joint vernissages, the GFM invites you to a guided tour on Saturday. Each gallery is visited for ten minutes.

Premiere for the Golden Apple vaulted cellar

Cellar vault of the former Judengasse

Underneath the Japanese supermarket Imori Ichiba there is a vaulted cellar whose existence remained hidden for a long time. It served as a storage room for a long time, but after a change of ownership it was extensively renovated and its historical significance was discovered.

At the end of 2023, the Jewish Museum Frankfurt opened a new cultural and event venue, the Golden Apple, in the basement. The long-destroyed house above it bore this name.

The history of the house and the Judengasse can be experienced in a virtual journey through time. A sound installation, an architectural model and photo films provide insights into the current state of research in this rediscovered place.

20-minute tours are offered from 7 p.m. Location: At the Staufenmauer 11
