Former president of Atlético Mineiro, Alexandre Kalil made a not very positive analysis of the possibility of Galo becoming SAF (Sociedade Anônima do Futebol).

The former representative spoke on the subject last Monday night, the 21st, right after the meeting of the Deliberative Council of the Atlético-MG which had this as one of the guidelines:

“Which SAF worked in Brazilian football? They are so upset with the SAF… And if the SAF removes Atlético’s debt and sets it aside to pay in 30 years, why sell the [shopping] Diamond Mall to pay off debt? So, you have to explain a lot of things that are unexplained. And the SAF is not that wonderful, no. First division team that has SAF is the BotafogoO Botafogo went to the Copa Sudamericana.”

Another situation that was pointed out by Kalil is the complaint that part of the directors of the club from Minas Gerais were elected irregularly this year:

“It will be very difficult for Atlético to go with everything sub judice, the council is irregular. At a time when we need Atlético to unite, everything is at stake in court to form a fraternity of good friends.”

And he concluded by saying:

“A group of good friends here at Atlético never worked out. Atlético belongs to the fans, it has no owner. Today, they are wanting to put ownership in Atlético. We have an absolutely serious imbroglio, which company will want to mess with Atlético in the legal imbroglio that is created?”

Atlético-MG pronounces on complaints of irregularity

Last week, two worthy advisors from Atlético questioned, through an open letter to the presidency of the club from Minas Gerais, possible fraud in the last council elections, which elected more than 150 new members in August of that year.

Through an official note, Galo denied that any type of irregularity had taken place and even attacked the advisers who accused the club.

Atlético Mineiro stated that the accusations are nothing more than a tremendous “blah-blah-blah” to create a smokescreen.
