Take the effort out of planning a special picnic for two with the Hyatt Regency’s new high tea boxes, which for $69 includes 16 delicacies such as smoked trout eclairs, egg and cress rolls, ham and cheese sandwiches, scones with strawberry preserves, lemon curd and cream and the chef’s choice of sweet treats. The box is available for order online and can be collected at the Hyatt’s drive-through concierge.

Cottesloe’s Indigo Oscar is celebrating the countdown to summer with a new menu perfect for coastal dining, and including Spencer Gulf Kingfish with watermelon and citrus salt and crispy duck with broad beans, spiced mango and basil. This month will also see the introduction of a terrace menu, ideal for those seeking a quick bite between swims, a new series of masterclasses from sommelier Sofia Giros and the return of pop-up kiosk Ol’Buoy from November 15.
Congratulations to former Penrhos College student Shubshri Kandiah, who has been cast in the starring role of Belle in the upcoming Beauty and the Beast production coming to Sydney next year. Shubshri is no stranger to the magical world of Disney, having played Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, and is starring as Cinderella in the Rodgers & Hammerstein production. Tickets for Beauty and the Beast, which will make its Australian premiere at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre in June 2023, are on sale now.
