There is no end to the shocking revelations about the new homicide that took place in the early hours of the morning (24.06.2022) in Koukaki. The victim is a 46-year-old woman, who was murdered inside her house by her 53-year-old husband.
The 53-year-old alleged killer was reportedly told police when he was arrested for killing his wife: “I drank some beers at night… I came home and my wife had packed her bags to leave… and I hit her…”. After the murder, he left their house in Koukaki, and as he said, before going to fall with his car on a cliff, he tried to commit suicide by cutting the veins of his hands.
But before all this, the 53-year-old called his son and informed him that he had killed his 46-year-old mother. “I killed your mother”, he allegedly told his 24-year-old son. Information even states that the young man was out and having fun when his father called him.
The 24-year-old immediately returned to their home in Koukaki and found his mother unconscious. The 46-year-old was found in a pool of blood, with knife wounds and a cloth wrapped around her neck.
The child immediately notified Immediate Action and EKAB, with the Authorities starting investigations to locate his 53-year-old father.
Shortly after 8:00 in the morning, the alleged killer was located and arrested, but he was transported to KAT after he was injured when he fell with his car on a cliff.
He wanted to commit suicide after the brutal murder
It all happened shortly after 01:00 in the early hours of Friday (24.06.2022) on Matrozou Street, with the 53-year-old and the 46-year-old having an intense quarrel. Immediate Action and EKAB were notified by the couple’s son, who saw his mother in a pool of blood.

After the brutal murder, and after he left the house, the alleged perpetrator – according to police sources – called another relative and said that he was going to commit suicide. Authorities were informed on Friday morning (24.06.2022) about a car accident on the 59th Athens-Sounio, in the area of Palea Fokea, with the 53-year-old alleged killer being the injured driver.
Authorities proceeded to arrest him, with the 53-year-old being transferred to the KAT.
“The son came and found her in the blood”
Koukaki, a neighbor of the couple, spoke about what happened on Matrozou Street, noting that the 53-year-old took his car after the crime and left. “There was no commotion. At 2:00 my son came home and told me that someone had killed someone. I went out on the balcony and saw that there was traffic. “The police had blocked the road, but we did not know anything,” he said.
He adds: “I did not know the family, we had not heard anything. What I learned is that the husband killed his wife. He took the car, left and then the son came and found the woman in the blood “.
