
The President of Peru, peter castletraveled to Lambayeque to meet with grassroots organizations. Nevertheless, it was not a smooth introduction for himsince those attending the event shouted several of their demands at him, among them, that he close the Congress of the republic and change the Political Constitution of Peru.
Castillo Terrones began his speech by welcoming the attendance at the macro-regional meeting, which was held in Chiclayoand said he hoped it would be repeated in the north, center and south of the country. “Not to break democracy, but to make people understand that the people here must be respected, not to do anything else, but to schedule the big problems that the country has,” accurate.
He went on to point out the problems that Peru is currently facing, such as the claims of “health companions” behind the COVID-19 Pandemic, the intense cold that causes the death of childreneducation, among other scenarios. “Is that from now? No companions, everyone knows it”he exclaimed.

Perhaps it will no longer be for us what we left the country, but who will benefit will be our children, therefore, help us so that education in Peru is a constitutional right”, manifested.
At the mention of these words, those present raised their voices again, this time to harangue for a new Political Constitution. Immediately, the boos of a large part of the public began, who They loudly asked Castillo Terrones for a change in the country.
After this impasse, the president promised to carry out a session of the Decentralized Council of Ministers in Lambayeque. This also generated annoyance from the attendees, but they were quickly silenced by the master of ceremonies. The president, for his part, asked for respect.
“Comrades, I have come to participate with all due respect. We believe it is convenient that, when we are leaders, we know how to conduct a meeting of this magnitude. When there is something to clarify, solve or support an issue, it is not in this way. There is a table, and I have a delegation here that can receive your demands, as long as we talk, we will immediately give you an answer. But I will never ignore your demands.”exhorted the dignitary, however, the claims continued.
They shouted at him to close the Congress of the Republic. Next, one of those present also asked for a solution to the demands of the sugar producers. To which the head of state replied that these claims are not from now, but historical requests that have been ignored. Lastly, he singled out the Legislative Branch for its inaction.
The president said that the Executive has presented to Parliament more than 33 bills, including the one aimed at achieving the balance of powers and governance in the country.
He stressed that this initiative sought to clarify the issue of the presidential vacancy, the question of trust and censorship. However, he indicated, the constitutional reform proposal was sent to the archive.
He also mentioned the bill for the massification of gas, which is still waiting to be included in the parliamentary agenda. Similarly, he referred to the referendum proposal to convene a constituent assembly, which was also shelved.
