It is actually remarkable and sad to hear Minister of Trade and Industry Karl-Petter Thorwaldsson (S) talk about “unattractive jobs” that no one wants. Most recently, the statement applied service jobs at airports. Important jobs – and often good first jobs. In the mine, of course, the salary is at least SEK 10,000 higher, but not everyone can work there.
Gunilla Mattsson, Sollentuna

Now everyone is talking about a political savage deciding in the Riksdag. Between two proposals, each produced by the two large blocs we have in the Riksdag today, was the vote. So what really decided the savage? Political savages have also been on the move earlier in the pension issue. It was the “People’s Party savage” Ture Königson who let through the AP pension, although then it was called ATP.
Torbjörn Brattberg, Borlänge

Alex Schulmans chronicle (20/6) is depressing. If you do not understand the value of this celebration, you refrain from participating, but for most it is a nice day and a day worth celebrating. Expressing his disapproval as Schulman does does not serve a positive purpose but only strikes back at the writer.
Gunnar Berndtson, Mora

Thank you Maria Larsson, which good idea with the TV channel SVT Senior for us seniors! We are not always so interested in the range that is often given today. In addition, I would sincerely wish that we did not have background music for information. With age, it is difficult to hear both speech and music at the same time. There is a lot to do here. Who takes the initiative for this excellent idea about SVT Senior?
Gullvi Andersson, pensioner

President Andreas Norlén adheres to a correct language and writes in DN (17/6) that non-partisans have existed and been accepted in the Riksdag for decades. Let’s avoid abusive remarks. It has taken many years to get people to understand that the n-word is wrong. Let it go faster to learn to say non-partisans instead of political savages!
Gunilla Alex, Kramfors

Has Sweden committed mass murder by sending armor shots to the Ukrainian army? The armor shots are apt to prolong the war, and thus cause a further number of people to be killed. International law does not tolerate concessions. Therefore, Sweden must report itself to the International Criminal Court.
Lars Ullerstam, psychiatrist, Västra Frölunda
