In-demand Joe Aribo is reportedly attracting interest from a trio of English Premier League clubs this summer as Rangers face a battle to keep their key man.
Aribo has been heavily linked with Crystal Palace this summer but two other potential suitors have been named by the Nigerian media as targeting the playmaker. AllNigeriaSport report that newly promoted Fulham and Nottingham Forest are keen on a deal for the 25-year-old this summer as the look to boost their ranks for English football’s top table.
The Nigeria international has been a stand out for both club and country this season, and featured in the most games of any player in world football during a blockbuster campaign. That whopping 70 game run included appearances at the African Cup of Nations, in the Europa League final and ended with a Scottish Cup winners medal, and starting with Rangers Champions League playoff games against Alashkert.
That consistency would be a major loss to Gio van Bronckhorst as he looks to bring the Premiership title back from rivals Celtic. However, the club have a decision to make if they cannot agree a new deal with Aribo as he approaches the final year of his Ibrox contract.
So far this summer Aribo has stated he is only focussed on playing for Rangers next season: “With all that stuff I don’t really read into it and I just focus on my football, because you can’t have distractions as it won’t allow you to play the best and be the best that you want to be
“Which is obviously what I want to be every time I play. I just want to be focused and ready to go.”
